Botanically known as Averrhoa carambola, the Sweet Star fruit, also known as carambola, is a star-shaped tropical fruit renowned for its sweet flavor. The plant produces clusters of small, lilac-colored, bell-shaped flowers, which give way to oblong-shaped fruits with characteristic five-angled edges, resembling a starfish when sliced.
