About the Plant -
- Kassod tree is botanically known as Senna siamea / Siamese cassia from the Caesalpinioideae family.
- It is a medium-sized, evergreen tree growing up to 15 m with yellow flowers.
- It is often used as a shade tree in cocoa, coffee, and tea plantations.
- In the landscape, it is one of the beautiful flowerings.
- It also has medicinal values and other uses include as a fodder plant, in intercropping systems, windbreaks, and shelterbelts.
- As a hardwood, it is used for ornamentation on instruments (ukeleles and guitars) and decorative products.
Maximum Height - It can reach heights of up to 15 meters.
Flowering Season - It flowers from late spring to early summer.
Landscape uses - Planted in Botanical Garden, as Ornamental plant in Garden, in the middle of the lawn, near the compound wall, as line plantation, etc.
GROWING TIPS
- It loves full sunlight areas.
- The tree grows luxuriantly under humid conditions does not like waterlogging
- Has been extensively planted for afforestation programs.
- The minimum distance between plant to plant should be 7m*7m.

INITIAL CARE FOR 10-15 DAYS JUST AFTER RECEIVING YOUR PLANT
- Remove the Packaging Materials carefully.
- Press the soil in the pot & add additional soil(garden mix) if necessary.
- Maintain moisture in the pot, Do not overwater it may kill your plant, so make sure that the soil should be dry between watering.
- Provide support with stick/moss stick(vine plant) in order to make straight growth, for needed plant only.
- Make sure that plants get enough direct bright light for 10-15 days & do not go for immediate transplanting(minimum 1-2month)
- Just prune if any branch of the plant is get damaged in transit. It happens very rarely.
